In biology, niche refers to the role an organism plays in a community. As an artist collective we explore the role us, as artists, play in our communities. We use the concept of ‘niche’ as a guide to examine identity, relationships and the environment through our work.

We are creating a space that reflects a creative ecosystem. We are a group of five crafty, fem-ish artists who each explore the intersections of people and environment through the lens of material, historical, societal and natural contexts.

We represent our generation’s value of questioning and breaking traditional ideas. Our exhibition will warmly create a space where people are free to exist as they are. Niche invites experiences of joy, dialogue and community through the unapologetic celebration of personal identity, particularly womanhood, queerness and neurodiversity.
